Imran Sheikh
Decarbonizing Residential Space and Water Heating in California (PhD ’17)
Imran Sheikh is interested in creating business-led solutions to environmental problems, with a particular focus on energy efficiency. His current research interests are around using smart meter and internet-connected thermostat data to better target energy efficiency investments. Prior to graduate school he was a consultant for three years at Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI). While in graduate school he has worked with the Global Energy and Sustainability team at Johnson Controls and has held various research appointments at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
