Aaditee Kudrimoti is a first year PhD student in the Energy and Resources Group. She completed undergraduate degrees from UC Berkeley in Political Science and Public Policy (go bears!) and was awarded a Fulbright research scholarship to study energy systems planning and politics in Laos post-graduation. She is interested in 1) understanding how the state plans resource-intensive sectors (i.e. energy, water, agriculture, and transportation) while navigating environmental, geoeconomic, and geopolitical uncertainty in the Global South, and 2) designing decision aids that encourage sustainable sectoral planning at the subnational, national, and regional levels of governance. She is currently exploring hydropolitics and energy sector planning in the Mekong region, but is more broadly interested in environmental justice and participatory planning. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, cooking, and hiking.
