Rebecca R. Hernandez
Dr. Rebecca R Hernandez received a Ph.D. in Earth System Science from Stanford University after receving a master’s degree from the California State University, Fullerton (Biological Science, MS) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (Geography/Geographic Technologies, BA). She is a first-generation college student and proud graduate of the California community college system (Biology/Geography, AS/AA).
Hernandez has been awarded the EPA STAR Fellowship, DARE Doctoral Fellowship, the Ford Foundation Fellowship as well as the William W. Orcutt Memorial Fellowship. She has been published in journals such as BioScience, Environmental Science and Technology, New Phytologist, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Nature Climate Change, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
