Summer Sustainability Minor/Certificate Program

Whatever direction your studies take you, the Minor or Certificate in Sustainability will equip you with tools to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the world today. This program offers a practical and relevant interdisciplinary approach at the intersection of environmental, economic, social, political, and cultural issues.
The interdisciplinary Sustainability summer program focuses on environmental science, policy, and behavior. Students complete courses in:
- Global and local environmental change
- The science, engineering, economics, and policy of renewable energy
- The economics of degradation and sustainability
- Environmental justice
- Green building
- Water science, policy, engineering, and equity
- Energy and Society – Online Course (4 units)
- Climate Change Economics (4 units)
- California Water (3 units)
- Ecology and Society (3 units)
- Environmental Classics (3 units)
- Water and Sanitation Justice – Online Course (3 units)
- Zero Energy Building (2 or 4 units)
